Maggie - Yeah. Dragging last week's to-dos and yesterday's too into today... Wow. That sounds exhausting. Just because you think of it, doesn't mean you *have to* do it. : ) I did an exercise in one of my classes where participants wrote down all their to-dos and then crossed half of them off (without completing them). Very freeing. Go, you!

Liz - I love this. It's so great to get unhooked from "doing" long enough to be curious and compassionate with ourselves. What a gift that is.

Sally - You betcha. : ) I love how the timing worked for you.

Thank you! This is exactly what I needed to hear today. I've been procrastinating on dealing with my emails and today decided I was going to delegate, delete and deal with each and every email. Finding this email at the beginning of my day is very inspiring!

"Identify the need" is a big one for me. It always turns out that there is some reason that thing hasn't gotten done. I need another piece of information, a tool, another perspective... something. When I figure out what that is, THAT goes on my list as the next task.

I SO needed to read this today. Thank you so much. I just rewrote my task list for the day -- carrying forward almost my whole list from yesterday (and a lot of that was carried forward from last week) and was just beating myself up emotionally for being such a slacker when I read your post. Thanks again. I'm off to work on the first task and not let the rest overwhelm me.
