Tired of getting great ideas and not using them?
You have a lot going on in your business. It’s hard to keep track of everything and stay caught up.
I have too many projects going on at the same time, too many ideas to follow up on…
My work in progress sometimes devolves into chaos and clutter. It ends up staying out while I’m doing other work, and next thing I know, my desk and the floor around it are swamped.
I grab a scrap of paper here, there, wherever, and make some important notes on it. Then pretty promptly lose it!
Sound familiar?
Most people believe organization is a rigid formula requiring diligence and perfection. You’re busy! You stay caught up when you can, but you suspect that there’s a better way. Just – when do you have time to figure it out?
You don’t have to crack down to get organized.
Being organized isn’t an either/or proposition. What you need is a new way to approach it. It’s time to drop the belief that there’s something wrong with you because there’s a mess and incomplete projects around you.
It’s time to work with your creative impulses.
You’re always going to create new stuff – and a mess in the process – that’s just how creativity works. You’re still going to get sidetracked sometimes. However, you can discover how to channel this creative energy and fluidness so that it helps you and your business instead of holding you back.
How can you help me if you’re not in my office?
Great question!
If you’re wondering how I can help you virtually, you’re certainly not the first to ask! It seems odd because most people assume that organizing is an in-person experience.
Unlike most organizers, I’m also a coach.
Most organizers will come in and fix your problem for you. That feels yucky to me because I don’t think you need fixing. You just have challenges that need creative solutions. As a coach, I help you clarify problem areas and discover creative solutions.
For example, if you have a big old pile of papers on the corner of your desk, I ask you lots of questions about what’s in the pile. Once you got clear about what you needed, we’d brainstorm about what would work better for you.
We talk. We co-create solutions. Together, we take into consideration things like:
- your working style
- the size of your space
- the amount of storage you have
- your learning style
- who you share the space with
- your budget (financial and time limitations)
- any sticky areas, habits, or frustrations
- what your business needs to succeed
You get solutions that actually help you focus better and feel more productive – without making your work harder. You get relief and clarity and results.
I feel like I’m in your space
When we’re talking about practical issues like furniture placement, I’ve found 2 simple ways to simulate being in your space with you:
- Take panoramic photos of your space and send them to me.
- Meet on Skype video so you can give me a tour of your space.
These are really effective – and they’re always optional. Most of my clients just meet with me on the phone and we talk. I ask lots and lots of questions. I really like listening to you. Sometimes I get intuitive ‘hits’ and run ideas by you to see how they sound. But most of the time, I listen and ask questions that help you find your own answers, your own solutions.
The unique thing about working with Inspired Home Office
Do you feel overwhelmed some days? Frustrated? Organizing isn’t always about the stuff. Sometimes the biggest barrier to creating order is what you believe about the stuff.
Many of the clients I work with have struggled their entire lives striving for perfection and believing they perpetually fall short. In our work together, my clients find that disorganization resolves itself when they begin to examine and release the high expectations they have of themselves. Their work flow actually improves. Their enthusiasm returns. Their lives get simpler – by addressing the stuff around them and the stuff inside too.
If you just want to talk organizing, we’ll just talk organizing. But if you want room for the whole you in the process, it’s here. You’ll receive nothing but compassion, respect, and non-judgment.
Instead of struggling, try something different.
You don’t have to struggle. You can create unique organizing systems that last. It is possible to have the order you crave and a thriving business.
