Fabeku, Lisa, and Victoria - Consider yourselves hugged. I'm glad you're breathing. Consciously, I mean. Oxygen is so helpful! : )

Tanya - Nice. Wow. Just reading your comment is calming. It sounds like you have a lovely month ahead. Thanks for the comment!

Sarah - Amen! Self care IS important always, but even more so. Even when people opt-out of holiday craziness, it's just in the air and sometimes hard to avoid. It helps me to keep the TV off, but a pedicure sounds even better!

SO tired ... but that is not because of the holidays. My own choices ... up to late starting out the week. Self-care is SO important this time of year!!

Office Spa Day was a lovely way to soak yesterday :-) In fact ... I think I'm going to make a pedicure appointment tomorrow night.

I am very happy today.
1) Being a Canadian, we didn't have the big feast on the weekend, so am not still in a tryptophan haze.
2) Today is the first day of my daughter's advent calendar...Lindt chocolate makes for a happy 5-year old...and hence, happy Mama
3) My business partner and I got some good press for a coaching event called Coach Buffet in our national newspaper today...this doesn't happen every day.

So, I haven't started shopping yet (yup, you read that right), most clients are laying low for the month AND I'll take this month to plan for my business, bake cookies and revel in all that IS good.

Gaaaah! It's December?!?

That pretty much sums it up.

I think I'd better adopt Fabeku's mantra of "remember to breathe." :)

I'm pretty much in the "OMG I can't believe it's already December" camp, but I can say that I'm much less stressed out than I was this morning. One solid day at my desk with no distractions helped.

I'm a mix of a) and c). This year has flown by. And it feels like there's a million things to do in the next month.

I just keep telling myself remember to breathe. That's my mantra.

@Debra - Cool! There's nothing like a little reflection to bring things back into perspective!

@Liz - I know, right?! I keep doing that too. Getting out of this moment and focusing on future moments/commitments makes me a little crazy.

But I think you hit it on the head (if you'll forgive the violent expression): something *does* have to give. And it doesn't have to be your sanity. :)

Did you read this one? It might be right up your alley! http://www.inspiredhomeoffice.com/preventing-holiday-insanity-for-you-and-your-biz

I am largely in "what? December? yikes!" mode, although it's more a feeling of "what happened to my year?" than worry about the holidays per se.

I'm also having this kinda weird experience: I have a bunch of medium-term low-level stress (a 6-month not-so-great living situation, a recent breakup) that hasn't left me feeling obviously terrible emotionally, but has resulted in my body acting stressed. So I'm trying to figure out what it is that I need to help make that easier for me.

Feeling rested and refreshed from the holidays. The house is nice and clean and the fridge is full.
It was nice to be mostly unplugged for a few days, and now nice to get back in action.
I'm a little panicked at the thought of getting Christmas presents bought, wrapped and shipped, cards bought, written and mailed, never mind making the plans for whatever holiday socializing we'll do at home!
And then there's the biz stuff. What will really happen in the next few weeks vs. what I'd like to have happen. Something's gonna have to give!
Excuse me, I think I need to go make a list or two!

Other: feeling a little out of balance right now, but not stressing over the holidays, that's for sure!

I like this time of year because it's a good time to reflect on the past year and to make plans for the next one. Gets me excited!

It's so nice of you to ask... I feel a bit better already. THANK YOU, Jen!
