    Peace, serenity, ahhhhhhhhh… :)

  2. I remember vacation this summer — standing on Kalaloch beach on the edge of the Pacific, kissing my husband and watching the sun set. He told me that there really is no “green flash” but a beautiful green light that follows the sun’s drop. I remember how cold I felt, which didn’t feel very magical … but, what was magic was that I was SO present in that moment, I took the time again and again that week to say “Here I am!”

I look at this art and totally expect to see my brother and I, age 5 & 6, to stroll across in our bathing suits.

For me, this image evokes salty, sandy summers at the Cape, big green buckets of smooth rocks and seashells, and enormous terry-cloth hugs from Mom and Aunt Emmy.

    Hi There,
I see peacefulness and calming waves. I just received a phone call that a friend has made her transistion. This was a nice piece of art to gaze upon for a few moments. To think of life, and that what we take with us is our memories and what is in our hearts. What we leave is the love that we created and enjoyed with others.

I, too, have memories of being on the beach for summer travel with my brother and sister and family. Loved those times.

And on a different note, I just want to say that I found your website about a week ago, and find it refreshing – honestly refreshing ~ bravo!

The photo reminds me tha I wish I had made more time this summer to take advantage of the beach scene in person.

Even my very short visit to the beach last weekend was well worth the energy to get there. I even ventured into the water since it was so hot on land.

  6. Jen, I can’t explain how touched I am by the comments above – I am so honored that my image brought a bit of serenity and peace to your readers! Thank you all for sharing your memories and thoughts – they all made me smile :-)

  7. Hi Jennifer
Being an artist I have a strong appreciation of beauty and scenes of nature deeply inspired me. This particular image conjurs up many memories, even recently of walking along the shore near my home on the south coast of England, enjoying the sun, sand and breaking waves – i gain a lot of inspiration this way, it clears my mind for new energies to come in.

  8. I look at this and think of all the countless times I “escaped” to the beach for inspiration or to bring me back to center. It is my favorite place to be :)
